How do I tee a ball

Tee Height

When you tee the ball for a driver shot, put the tee height at the middle of the driver's face, this puts half the ball above the driver. This is the recommended height for driving.

I think you may be wrong and may want to reconsider the physics of the golf swing. I agree, if you are looking for a low shot that will not travel as far (A shot you may use in a high crosswind) you would tee the ball toward the center of your club face. However, if you want a good launch angle and the maximum benefit from your club-heads sweet-spot, you will want to place your ball about 1/2-inch higher than your club heads horizontal center line. The reason being is that when you are in your downswing the shaft will be flexing in many ways. The end result (Or point when your club contacts the ball) will be your shaft flexing in an arc that will shorten your shaft about 1/2-inch and interestingly that arc will also be opposite of what you think. The the back of the arc will be pointing opposite of your target.

I should also add this to my last post: You are correct in the generalization for some--most, drivers. The problem is that drivers, especially newer ones, tend to have varying face heights. Since your ball is a little less than 1.7-inches, with the driver I have, this tip would work fine. Although, if your driver's face is taller or shorter this tip may be a little off. Which is why I suggested placing the tee so that the ball will be 1/2-inch above the sweet spot.
