October 6, 2006, Newsletter Issue #131: Making Good Use of High Tech Golf Gear

Tip of the Week

There's a lot of high tech gear out there for the average golfer to take advantage of, especially in such basics as balls and clubs. However, be selective in what you buy. If the technology of a particular item has been aimed specifically for golf pros who have high swing speeds, it is probably not right for your game. However, there are many other high tech items on the market that have been designed for the average golfer and can do a lot to help your game.

One key advantage that all golfers have is that they can be fitted to their clubs. One of the best pros competing regularly in today's PGA tournaments, Davis Love III, put it succinctly when, referring to hi-tech golf equipment designed for the pros, he declared: “We're just taking great equipment that helps people play better, and we're getting the most out of it.” You can do the same when you play with high tech equipment that's been designed for your game.
